Found these the other day…..
Hello I have been going though some long untouched boxes and found these Can anyone give me information on them? I can’t load thr photos They are marked EIG CUTLERY ITALY and the blades pop out when you push the button and they are VERY SHARP!
Re: Found these the other day…..
Sounds like 1950's picklocks, if they have buttons. A Florida importer by the name of Saul Eig. Surprised to hear they are "very sharp", as most aren't. They were imported from Maniago, Italy.

Seen very few stilettos that were sharp. Most are about as sharp as a butter knife.

Botsey --- You didn't mention WHY you can't upload photos of the knives. If it's because you aren't familiar with the process, perhaps this might help:
-------------------------------------------------------
After typing your post, look below the text box and hit the button labled "Full Editor & Preview" -- on the resulting screen, hit the button labled "Attachments" that is underneath the text box.
Below that, hit "Add Files" -- this should take you to
the photos stored on your system.
Tap ONE photo only, and wait for it to fully load.
When the green Progress Bar turns into a green check-mark, it's done loading. Hit "Preview" to see how your
post and photo will appear.
If you want to add more photos, go to "Add Files"
and repeat the process for each photo.
When you are satisfied with everything, hit the button labled "Submit" and your text and photos will be posted.
Keep in mind that multiple photos display in reverse order
-- the last photo loaded will be the first one shown under your post.
If you want to add or delete any text or photos, sign in
to your account and hit the "edit" button on your post (shown circled, below). This will take you back to the page where you first created your post, and you can modify it
as you wish.
Photos must be under one megabyte in size to upload.
If you need to resize, this is the process for the Samsung Galaxy S24 -- perhaps an Apple user will be kind enough to post the process for an iPhone.
1. Select photo in your gallery
2. Click on the pencil icon
3. Click on 'more' (3 vertical dots / upper right corner)
4. Click on "resize"
5. Click on " 40% " (or whatever size you want)
6. Click on "done"
7. Click on 'more' again
8. Click on "save copy" -- this preserves the original picture and adds the resized picture to your gallery
You may need to repeat the process to achieve
the desired size.
‐------------------------------------------------------------
HEY MODERATORS --- Once we have the iPhone process added, can we please turn this into a 'sticky' post and have it permanently displayed at the top of the thread?
This issue gets raised a LOT.
