What a relief to learn that I'm the guy who grabbed it!
What is the age range of the 'Jndiana' stamp?
Were these knives made into the 1960s?

Re: New Cases
Great score, button_man! It was a great purchase even with a more common tang stamp, but if it is actually stamped Jndiana, it's an even better purchase and the first I've personally ever seen. I would think an Jndiana stamp would indicate it being an earlier piece.button_man wrote: Sat Jul 25, 2026 8:52 am .

Re: New Cases
Thanks, John! Yes, Jndiana, Jaguar and J-INOX (to name a few) were distributed by Zoppis in Milan, and made in Maniago for them. If button_man's "medici style" is stamped Jndiana, that would be pretty cool. I've followed the style over the years, and can't recall seeing one with that stamp. Not that I ever claim to have seen everything, for sure. But yes, it would indeed be a distributor brand stamp.

Unfortunately, the seller has told me that there is
no "Jndiana" stamp..... just "rostfrei". Rats!
So..... I'm not sure what makes this an 'Jndiana' piece.

rider -- I don't remember specific knives, but overall it seemed like all the best pieces were concentrated in
Case 2. Many vintage and almost all were quite expensive.
Case 1 remains on display (above) & mostly available.

rider ~~ I happened to just now run across a photo
of Case 2 that I had saved, and forgotten about.
But I don't want to breach protocol here, so I won't
post it unless the seller says that it's okay.

Wow! Now, I don't even remember case #2. There was some really great pieces in there! I must have slept right through it.
