Videos soon!

Post by Bill DeShivs »

For quite some time I have wanted to do videos of repairs from my point of view.
I have researched and purchased several things that "almost" worked, but the focal point is too high or too low.
Yesterday, I was at the ophthalmologist for my annual eye exam. Eyes are fine.
As I was checking out, I noticed that Bausch & Lomb has "smart glasses." I asked the young lady that was helping me if she knew anything about them, and she said that she owned a pair. I asked her if they would take videos like I wanted, and she assured me they would!
So, next week I pick them up with my RX for "shop glasses."
Excited to see what I can do with them!

Videos of disassembly of customers' knives will be helpful. I can actually show them everything that is wrong before the work is done.
I can do tutorials also. Things are better explained when you can both hear and see the work.

You won't be seeing me, as I'll be wearing the glasses.
But, the shop IS a mess.

When people see how much work is actually involved in repairs, they will understand the pricing.
There are no real secrets, just proper tooling a little talent, and hard work.
