The 1968-72 Schwinn Stingray Krate bikes I collected, have that sparkle in the banana seats. Certainly time-period correct...

Those were the days, I was 13 and didn't understand the concept of apehangers..

When I was in the 6th grade a kid in school put a set of tricycle handel bars on one of those and he could ride a wheelie for what seemed like forever on it.
