new custom knives I got
Maybe a few of you might enjoy seeing these. If you do not you don't have to be mean about it. I am very proud of owning them and think they are neat. I got a few "kits" that Chad Ruben sold on aapk a while back. He had a few of the 7" oal picklock knives that Dolphins had made very recently that were without scales and were disassembled. I have no idea how they got to that state. Didn't ask, don't really care.
These two were assembled by Tom Wright along my ideas, which was a right and left handed pair, with sharpened blades and otherwise usable as knives. Marked with what the internet told me was Latin for right and left. Scaled in Juma which I guess is shameful . So knowing how shitty this board feels anyone who "mangles" is, I still think they're nice. Nothing vintage or older was harmed. He did file work, I love it. A safety that he does often that has a positive detent and works. The safety on a lot of the 7" ones of the Italy assembled make/model that I have handled do not work. Definitely a weak spot of these new made knives. "Coined" the liners. And of course one of them was made to be left handed. The hole for the sear was drilled through the blade for both knives, so they match although of course that was only required on the left hand one.

Bartlow, these look quite nice and should be fine additions to your collection! Thanks for sharing. Many of us appreciate the stories behind the knives in the photos.

Nothing wrong with mangling/customizing knives. We used to have quite a few guys on here that did it.
