Not important. . .just something to provoke a discussion.
Okay . . .I know nothing about Artificial Intelligence.
I started with Fortran IV , a little Cobal, at Univ. Pitt in the 70's
Then in the 80's, computers got TV Monitors, and print on screen.
And I learned AutoCAD L.I.S.P. routines,
and SurfCAM coding to drive milling machines.
In the late 80's,
my brother got a DEAF person capability Desktop Computer
and a Degree in Multi-Media Education (Teaching Deaf Tech). .
And I learned to build a basic Website directory on my hard drive
accessed by Windows Explorer or other internet software.
And how to build "Rollover Hypertext"
. . . (that blue Text that you click-on )
and working Gif file Avatars
. . . ( Like my flick knife over there on the right . . . . )
That's as far as I got into programming and coding.
I learn enough to draw and record intellectual property . .
Something I can charge money for. . .
But I never was interested in A.I.
I don't really want to learn A.I.. . .I'm afraid of the challenge.
But it's not going away.
and It's drawing my future job stuff. . .
So I watch . . . .
I see knives designed by accident. .
The A.I. sees a 1911 Gov 45 pistol slide as "Weapon"
and draws a knife weapon as a Colt Auto.
And it's kind of a "Cool Accident"
an Idea that can be refined and improved.
A.I. can't understand micro-gradients of "Ethnic Style". . .
That's why it mixes "Cowboy" and "Soviet" into the same gun.
So "To BE . . .or NOT to BE. . . . . "quote Shakespear (Hamlet)
Do I embrace pure hand on paper cartooning which is "All-in-my-Style".
Or do I veer off into A.I. and watch technology "Homogenize" my work.
Knowing I will melt into the crowd, but become more marketable and stressed.
I don't really expect an answer . . . . .My health stops me from big jobs.
I learned how to draw gifs. . .like my avatar.
I just have not picked an A.I . . . . or figured out what it will cost.
That might limit me more than anything.
