I have seen an Italian picklock with white plastic scales, so it's possible.
It's also possible they just painted it white for effect.
A couple of shots of the white knife look like it's a square button knife-others make me sure it's not.

I can confirm that handle was made of Bakelite

The guy posted this knife and said it was in his family from many generations when he actually bought it 3 weeks ago off eBay. Lmao. And now he has a special old tag with it. Lol

And actually he posted it the day after he got it on Facebook claiming he knew nothing about the knife.

I did not pick up that they were literally the same knife. As someone else said, good eye.

The thing I got from the knife in the Ebay listing was that the maker of that knife had a very short throw for the safety. Sometimes the slot is almost an inch long. The knife from Ebay appears to have about a quarter inch of safety travel. Not what I should have been paying attention to, I guess.
