That type of knife is known by a few names-
Pig Sticker (as Highspeed mentioned)
Boar Hunting Knife
Saufaenger
I don't see any reference online to a Latama version.

Or, folding Bowie.
The knife was made in Maniago by Lepre for Latama. It appears to be in excellent condition and it is a very rare Latama model.

Latama didn't actually make knives. They were a US importer that was involved in The Maniago cutlery business. They contracted from many makers. Lepre was one of the finest.

Good day all, I have one of these made by Coricama. Was it made by Coricama or Lepre? It too has a sheath, but it is not a switchblade. Is the Latama?

Yes, I apologize...not automatic, and probably posted in wrong forum? It's a bit confusing at times as a newbie to find the appropriate place for a blade since I'm just learning what each is called, etc.

Wait. I think I put this in the "blade pix" forum, so maybe I don't get a demerit?

You are fine posting anywhere you want....lol. Besides, you have brought the most excitement the forum has seen in awhile.

Got some time so I thought I would post my Coricama. Did Coricama make these or was this a contracted knife?

Lepre was the outfit that made many of the Italian folding bowies.
I suspect they made yours, too.
