New guy says hello

Hello all,
Im writing to you from mass. Ive always been a fan of the blade scene but have never ventured to forums for questions and or advice. I have two knifes that i have queations about. One is what i think a 1950s era italian made s.m.co. switch and the other is a gurka? Im not sure of the spelling its a reverse curve military style brush clearing blade its origin, year, and make are all unknown to me.
Anyways i figure ill wait to hear back from you all before i start trying to upload any pics.. thanks for reading.

This is a great place for blades .of all kinds.
A picture of your knives will help, and I for one love ghurka knives and will be glad to help you if I can in ageing and identifying it for you.
