Yes sir. It’s a classic era “Frosolone” switchblade. Probably made by between 1950-1960 roughly.

Yes sir. It’s definitely a classic “later era” Frosolone made switchblade. That body shape with the slender waist was a later style. It’s possible this was made by D Piscitelli.

thanks maltese & everyone.....forgot, it measures a little over 9 3/4 inches long. spring is strong & works great, everything is tight, with slight movement when open. i know very little about knifes other than research on this one...now i'm searching on d. piscitelli ...very cool !

As you know, oldies are not my forte. It's old, but not perfect. I'm thinking $600-700, but I don't know. Is it really a Piscatelli? Does that make it worth big bucks?

I don't post here much but have been around for a long time. First of all, it's a very decent example. From the pictures you posted and from the info so far on here, my guess would be the value to be between $900 and $1200 as the blade appears to be slightly down. I agree with an earlier post that this is a later made Frosolone. I've also seen unmarked custom made Frosolone Switchblades. This one is pretty generic and doesn't have any traits that could definitely identify it. JMHO. Value also depends on a potential buyer and how much they are willing to pay, but I don't know if your plans are wanting to sell or not. It would be a nice addition to someone's collection that collects this type of knife. :D

Hi nice knife

I’ve seen a few of these lately on other forums and thought they were worth more but going off what they actually sell for $1000 or $1200 is about right.

Beautiful knife
Thanks for showing it

Definitely Frosolone and most likely from the 1940s. These usually sell in the $800-1200 in good used condition, which this one is. Some collectors might pay a little more for it. It's a nice old knife.

(Couldn't hurt to pick up a few switchblades along the way too! ) ;-)
