Humpbacks pulled from ebay
Hello all
Was bidding on these two beauties as they are the first humpbacks I had seen on ebay that I could go for and then "whhoosh" just like that they were gone.
Its a real pity as I think these are pretty rare either side of the pond.
Anyone have any of these to share here ,I for one dont know much about them ?
Here are some pictures for your enjoyment .
regards

The seller probably got an offer to end the auctions early and took it.

Re: Humpbacks pulled from ebay
There are two versions of these knives. Fastr19's first two are leaf spring knives.
The one in the bottom picture is a coil spring knife.
Look at the difference in the "humps." That will always tell you which spring type.

Beautiful knives again faster19 .
Thanks again for sharing these .
Whats the very bottom one classed as or named ?...ls it still a humpback or another locking type ?.
I have never really come across these humpbacks in my buying or collecting circle then these two appeared. They are real interesting knives.
Thanks for showing the different types Fastr19 and thanks for the explanation Bill.of the differences between coil and leaf types.

Re: Humpbacks pulled from ebay
That is a fulcrum release. It is exactly like a leaf spring picklock except at the top of the backspring, instead of the locktab, there is a little protrouding hole that holds the fulcrum. To release the blade, you just push the fulcrum up onto the blade and that pulls the backspring back.gravknife wrote:Beautiful knives again faster19 .
