Great looking knife Mike. 8)

Really love that unusual pattern on the horn and the overall shape of these older knives.

I have an older bayonet bladed transitional with the same problem ,blade pin badly worn down ,but no one to fix it this side of the pond unfortunately.

Yours will clean up,and fix up a treat ,and leave you with a fantastic knife.

Well, the knife was delivered to Bill today... I can't wait to hear the prognosis...

Having looked at the knife, it needs a lot of work-and it's badly pitted.
I think I can make it very passable, though. It's certainly worth fixing up.

I have given Bill the green light and can’t wait to see the results. Since I’m sure Bill is a much better photographer of knives than me, I will let him post the Afters if he would like, otherwise I will be sure to.
