Re: Due Buoi switchblade
Thanks Switchgear, I really like the horn on the Seven 12 and the.buffalo on the other three has lots of white streaks.
Hi Allen, no problems at all with the low cost Classic Due Buoi stiletto. I recall hearing the first run needed some improvement.
Thanks again,
John

I have had very similar emails with Vito. He means well he just hasn’t worked these awesome knives into his production schedule. I really wish he would start making stilettos again; I could use a few more.monstro wrote:The bones of a yr ago Vittorio told me there was a production run on the way, said he would email me closer to the time.
That's the last i heard from him.

Re: Due Buoi switchblade
Here is mine from the first run which were Talkblade forum knives. I also have one in stag. I posted the pictures of the backs so you can see how thick they are. These are hefty well made knives with scales flush with the bolsters and pins flush as well.

Re: Due Buoi switchblade
sorry but it's the safety or the lock release ?
Re: Due Buoi switchblade
It’s the safety. It stops the button from deploying the blade same as the type on the top of a typical stiletto. At first I didn’t know I liked the safety on the side. But, it works flawlessly and I really like it on the side. It makes the Due Buoi different in a good way.

Re: Due Buoi switchblade
I agree with John, I like the safety where it is, albeit rather nontraditional. Pushed forward, the button will deploy the blade. Pushed back, the blade is locked closed.

Who is Vittorio, and does he have other offerings?
Re: Due Buoi switchblade
Vittorio Centa with Due Buois. I have no idea what his position is with that company but I know John corresponds with him.SwitchGear wrote:Who is Vittorio, and does he have other offerings?
He's the gentleman with the knife pointed at his throat.

BTW, The knife wielder is Andrea Santini who produced Superior knives but has since disappeared. These knives were of uneven quality.
