Just wondering how hard they would be to sharpen? They do look cool though!

The original style blade to me has much greater utility than any bayo blade. What's next, dagger and Kriss?

I agree- but variety is the spice of life.
Kris Leverlettos were made years ago, BTW.

Yes, and I have a Kris! I bought it over 11 years ago and forgot I had that blade grind.Bill DeShivs wrote:I agree- but variety is the spice of life.

Re: Bayonet Leverlettos
Just got my leverletto in and it beautiful however some times when I open it it only opens half way I tried oil but still does it anyone know why this would happen ?? It's brand new from a reputable seller any help would be deeply appreciated
Re: Bayonet Leverlettos
Try pressing the lever quickly and firmly. Sometimes an average pressing of the lever doesn’t release the blade quickly enough for the spring to push the blade to the full open and lock position.

You got the brand new Bayo Leverletto from a "reputable seller"? I hadn't realized they hit the States for sale yet they're still so new. I'm surprised it would have any issues and I hope it works out for you.Peteymcsweety wrote:Just got my leverletto in and it beautiful however some times when I open it it only opens half way I tried oil but still does it anyone know why this would happen ?? Re: Bayonet Leverlettos
Remove the oil from the blade pivot, as best as you can.
Lube the blade tang-where it rubs on the backspring, with a tiny dab of lithium automotive grease.
One side of the kickspring is probably rubbing the liner. Put a tiny drop of oil there.
Open the knife with the tip (not the fleshy part) of your thumb, while holding the knife firmly.

Re: Bayonet Leverlettos
The edge is reasonable. It can be sharpened.
Of course, the blade is ground thicker than the standard model- but it's not like the bayonet stilettos.
