1950's picklock restored

Post by Jrarbogast »

Just got it back and Bill did an awesome job restoring it! Looks beautiful... I may keep it for a while or put it up for sale for someone else to enjoy. I will put a before on for comparison.

Thank you and yes Bill did a fabulous job! If I should ever decide to part with it, anyone reccomend a site to put up for sale? I guess I can use the buy/sell section here.

Sharperdeal auction would be a good place to sell it if you don't want to sell it here.

I've noticed on many a vintage piece, that the safety slot at the safe position, has a tiny hole there. Is this where a red dot once was? I understand that the red dot safety was once a red plastic insert as compared to some they just paint the red dot in on the more modern pieces. Just curious.

No. The hole was drilled to start the safety slot.
Red dot holes are much bigger.
