4.5" Inch Picklocks

Post by texans123 »

Hi Gents -
Hare a couple of small but very nice picklocks. Function and built just like the big guys with nice horn, full D-stamp liners, nice snap and tight lockup...and the red dot safety. 4.5" total length with 2" blade. :D
Cheers -

Thanks Jules - bought these some years back from Folgore Knives. Seller's name was Bernie if I recall correctly. I thought they were very cool and had never seen them before, and they are very well made.

Ahhh Yes, we are somewhat familiar with a guy named "Bernie" around here (I'm kidding). He's a long-time member here that goes by METALGOD. He pops in now and then. Good guy that's had some great stuff. Your 4.5"ers are really nice! Thing about this "disease" is, I want one of everything! lol

Yes I read some threads where Bernie and METALGOD were mentioned, so good he's still around. Glad you like these little picklocks. Do not recall who made these but it was a name not as common, I think.

Jules - I think the maker is Oreste DiBon in Maniago, Italy.

I bought one of the 4.5" from the link JulesVane posted. Really nice little pieces. Mine is a bolster release. I should have bought two.

Agree with Thom, even though bolster release those are nice 4.5". Really like the Stag and light Horn types.

Here is an ORESTE DIBON in 5.5". Mentions here he passed in 2012. I fairly sure I bought my 4.5" picklocks a couple years prior to 2012.

Here is a 6.25" fish picklock that I also think was made by Oreste DiBon. These are legal to carry here so it has a bit of wear on it. Well make knife with a very nice snap and tight lock up. Think I got this one from Bernie as well.

I think those 6" Fish are some of the best modern knives I've seen. The only issue is that some of them have rockers that are dangerously thin at the pivot. I replaced one recently and the metal on each size of the hole was paper thin.
