7" Italian (Medici Style) Swinger
Realizing the actual Puma Medici was German made, I've only heard pieces such as this referred to as "Medici". Did Italian makers call this style by anything else?
Apparently, TBARK knives did the filework and must have removed the safety(?)

Pretty little knife Jules
I love the file work on that example.
I love that beautiful little Italuan horn swinger you posted a short while ago aswell ....I keep going back to it whilst browsing here ,It really has some great horn on it.
In switchblades of italy these are referred to as "in the style "of the Puma Medici ,i can't find reference to any other names for these other than" Medici"
I have a little honeyhorn example that i love .
I havn't really wanted to post it as its from a Good freinds collection and I know parting with it was very difficult .These are truly great little knives with very nice accoustics on opening .I can definitely see why s winguards are popular knives ,its a heightened opening sound and just cool to see theguard open into into defence mode.
I only have a few swinguard and they are coming into my collectors circle so to speak.
I need some more.
I hope your well Jules
Keep posting these wonderful knives

Thank you Ian...I love your honey horn version as well. Yes, this style is really very appealing to the eye (IMO). As of late, not sure why, some of the smaller swinguards have caught my interest. Being so small, the snap is surely a strong one. I once, and only once, heard this Italian version referred to as a "Speedster". But, I guess, I'll just call it a tiny swinguard, a pretty one lol. Thanks Ian!

Those knives are awesome guys! I've seen that style before, but wasn't aware there was even a name for it. Nice curvature. I'm not usually into knives that small but those smaller swinguards are really neat.

ANYBODY ever notice that many of the dark horn 7 or 8 inch regular style 60's swingers on the market have degraded horn by the rear bolsters? iguess they started showing up bout 6 to 8 yrs ago

The Honey Horn is good looking. I have always liked the looks of the Medici. It is a design that fits in any "cloak-and-dagger" novel illustration.

Nice looking swingers there. A model I do not have and just might hunt one down someday.

Thank you and so is yours. This was one of my first Italians and I am thinking of giving her up to fund a project.

I bought one like the top photo a couple months ago from PVK. Had same TbarK file work. I did not like the way it opened, so I sent it back. I never saw it relisted by PVK. He might still have it. Had black acrylic scales I believe.
