ITALIAN kNIFE MAKER??

Post by Mickyrang1 »

Stamped near the fix-point of blade and handle is the name: VINCENZO PISCITELLI FROSOLONE. It is an old knife. Anyone know about such a maker? How long did he make knifes and how long ago?

Thanks

Your knife sounds really interesting and the name is usually associated with older italian froselone knives which can be sought after by collectors.
Its virtually Impossible to comment on age or style without a picture to work from, and I don't want to get your hopes up without experienced members seeing the knife and giving their opinion......but it sounds like an early knife and could be valuable and it would be well worth your while to add a picture.

Same goes for your knife aswell ...a picture is worth a thousand words when identifying a knife i'm afraid
Here's how to get one on here from a phone....

Take a picture with your phone ..it must be less than 1mb.in size .....eg 967kb or it will say file too large .
Write your post and press Attatchments
Select the box marked Add files which will prompt you to select a photo from your gallery or downloads
When you press the photo you want it will upload onto your post ....you can load 3 photos sometimes more by pressing Add files each time .

Remember they must be less than 1mb in size or it gets frustrating.

Can't wait to see both knives that are mentioned here.
Good luck

I'm new here, I was directed to come here from another board to ID my Italian stiletto. Pretty sure it was made in the early '90s.
