Forum introduction
Hi all;
I'm new to the forum so just thought I'd quickly introduce myself. As a kid, in the mid 1960's , my uncle took my family down into Tijuana for a day when I was about 8 or 9 years old. While there, he bought a couple of cheap switchblades. Later that summer, he gave me one of them. WOW! can you imagine being 9 years old with your own switchblade!?!?!? I was in heaven & definitely felt "COOL!!!"...
The rule was I could only have it out & play around with it at our summer cottage. It was great for a few weeks, & then the unthinkable happened... I LOST IT!!!!! No idea where. I was not a happy camper, but of course I 'survived' without the switchblade.
Fast forward a few years. I'm out hiking in the rocks behind our cottage. A hot sunny summer day & a bright flash catches my eye in the rocks there. Lo & behold; there's my switchblade that I lost up there probably about 3 years ago now. It's in rough shape having gone through three -30 degree winters up there. It's really rusty & doesn't work anymore. Toast....
Fast forward another few years. 1978. I'm in Europe. Venice, Italy. Guess what I buy myself? Yup. A stag horn leverlock switchblade & a red OTF knife. Both very cheap & I still have them. I just dug them out a few months ago, and finding them piqued my curiosity about stilettos & switchblades again. So I go online & well....here I am!
I just bought a few off of BladePlay & a couple from a forum member Bernie yesterday at Blade Bid.
The journey begins again!!!!!....
Cheers!
Rudy

Welcome aboard!
The journey does indeed begin. Most of us have found it to be fun, exciting, long lasting - sounds like a commercial for chewing gum but it is a bit more expensive.
Enhoy the ride.
