Leverletto D2 blade

Post by hogwild »

Maybe I'm out of the knife loop but is the Leverletto made with a D2 blade now? Just saw some for sale and wanted to make sure this is legit. Greg

Hello HW,

Where did you see those advertised with the D2 blades?

Bill, can your attorney contact the site and tell them to cease selling them or whatever the right term might be. It is just plain wrong that people can get away with this.

They know exactly what they are doing.
The seller has run out of the knives, and I doubt he'll be selling any more.
There is something happening to stop it. I can't say more.

China is copying everything! There will have to be an import ban to stop it.

Well I'm not going to post a link to this crap but they're still available. Would love a real Leverletto with D2 or 1095.

Yeah that would be real cool, however unless I'm mistaken the Leverletto has a higher quality blade steel than the average stiletto, at least mine has a razor edge, something we just don't see in standard stilettos.
Never did know exactly what steel they have...440C maybe?

I did go to the unnamed site and demand that the counterfeits be removed. I was assured they would be.
The Leverletto blade spec is 440C.

Bill,
I can't recall exactly what time today when I googled Leverletto d2. It brought me to a site that is selling counterfeit Leverlettos the blade has your name in script. The knife is very similar to the real Leverletto. The bolsters are very flat and the exposed spring is slightly different. A novice collector could easily be fooled.
You should check back tomorrow.

DHgate is the site that I complained to. As of today, they are still on the site. ALL of them are counterfeit.
There is a US site that was selling fake Leverlettos, too.

That's the site and they're still selling. They have every brand counterfeit you can imagine. What a pile. Looks like China can do anything and bottom-feeders will sell anything.
