Here is one of two that I assembled for Walt at Latama from leftover parts.
Premium horn, coined liners, big nickel silver safety, single thread on rear bolster, inlaid red dot safety (not a hole with red paint.)
All hand fitted and assembled.

Sure doesn't look like a leftover parts knife to me - beautiful work!

I'm always one to compliment a knife but damn the scales are out of this world nice. Vintage looking.
The owner of this piece will be envied for certain.

I'm not too clever with descriptions but the "flair" effect on the safety is super cool. These subtle details keeps you on top of your game Bill.

On the inlaid safety- How about pearl or abalone? Better yet polished nickel disc? Just talkin'?

Any rod material can be used, but red is traditional.
Thanks everyone!

Beautiful work Bill.

What is the process for installing the red dot? Is it installed like a doll rod all the way through then filed flush and drilled out slightly? If a disc is precut, how thick is it?

A hole is drilled about 3 mm deep at the end of the safety slot. The rod is then glued into the hole and cut flush. Everything is polished smooth, and the slot is then extended into the dot.

Bill can these be purchased?
That's the knife I'm looking for in all departments.
If i could find someone to ship to me hoe much are these to buy.
I'd have an excellent put away knife for once.
Let me know, I was just browsing the forum and had missed this.
It's a lovely knife.
Regards Ian
