I almost bought an American Derringer (Alaskan), in 45-70. But after I read a rather long posting on a gun forum, I changed my mind. The writer talked about how his wrist and forearm felt like they vaporized. I kick myself for not saving it....The way the writer explained everything he went through from shooting one round, kept me laughing for some time. It's what nightmares are made of....

Trading wood for rubber grips on my Contender, made the .30-30 and .45-70 much more tolerable. [The .30-30 was never really bad but the .45-70 was a bit much].
I have several in .45 Colt [Ruger, Astra, Uberti, American Derringer, Contender etc.], but my Taurus Tracker. is the new .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire. [The nic-name "Hummer" is catching on for the .17].
What's this about having a Latama of Mr. Biggs??? Also..did I read you right? Are you going to put your Wandy on BA???
yes i do have in my possion one latama belonging to mr. bigg. after abusing it some more, i will return it to him.
as for the wandy i am planning on thinning out my collection of just about everything not vintage american. the wandy being the only one with any real value the rest a collection of beltrames swing guards etc.
but you did not bid 400.00 on the auto fork, on the other hand those picklocks looked pricey.
i had to scrape some bird droppings off concrete today the latama came in real handy

What can I say? It happens. I don't know if it's American culture, male culture, or just human nature, but many of us seem to have a fondness for firearms.
