Rizzuto Estiletto Milano / Large size, white
This is a large size (10 - 1/2") Japanese Rizzuto swinguard switchblade that was purchased in Mexico in the early 90's from a trusted member.
It has the batwing type guards, Blade says "Rizzuto Estiletto Milano"
Blade peeks and KNIFE DOES NOT OPEN.
I think the rocker is broken because the button pushes and springs back, and the safety works, but the knife won't open. knife itself is in excellent condition and maybe worth fixing or used for good parts.
Please make me an offer.

Jeff,
Have you tried hosing the knife down with WD-40? I bought a Rizzy recently that when I first got it, it would not fire, but several squirts of WD-40 fixed it.

Thanks for the advice! I did try a spray or 2 but did not soak it. I don't really want to damage the knife so I'm leaving it alone. I've had it as is for a year or so but I understood it had been sitting closed for years and used to work.Panzerfaust wrote:Jeff,

Jeff,
I don't know any way you could hurt the knife by hosing it down with WD-40. Another oil I have use is Gunscrubber. It will really blast all of the crud out.

WD40 on the cheap plastic handles will cause them to crack and/or fade prematurely over time

On celluloid it can cause the scales to gas .Which if in a case with other knives can be even damage other knives. I don't use any oil on any celluloid ever . If you most oil the blade's pivot use the smallest amount with a very fine tip applicatorJeff wrote:WD40 on the cheap plastic handles will cause them to crack and/or fade prematurely over time

Thanks Steve, I've seen that post before and others like it. Thats what lead me to believe the problem is a busted rocker.
I might pull the knife apart for parts.
