funny balisong story
well, as some of you may know, i'm a real rookie when it comes to flipping these knives, but i have spent hours and hours practicing lately.
i have even started flipping inbetween jobs/cycles on the CNC machine i program and run. hey, it's all about time management! (at least when my boss isn't around). anyway, one day about a week or so ago, my machine broke down due to a fried card in the controler. later that day, a tech showed up to repair the controller, which he did, but still had to come back first thing the next morning for some adjustments, so he left the controler on the ground, with the cover off.
the next morning, i got there early, and decided to finish the job that was still on the table when the machine crashed. the cycle was around 10-12 minutes, so naturally i took out my file dulled balisong, and started flipping.
a couple of minutes in, the thing flew out of my hands, and into the open controller case, causing sparks, and instantly threw the gantry (moving part) into a whirling dervish type move holy crap - i dived for the emergency stop just before the cutter crashed into a heavy fixture, but the loss of power caused the spindle to auger into the table!!! i thought i was having a heart attack - the controler is worth over $20,000USD luckily for me, there was no permanant damage, and no-one was the wiser on what caused the malfunction
anyone else have a funny bali story?
