Mr. Icon of Sin,

I saw that link on BF and was impressed. I have a few cheapos I flip occasionally, but now things are getting interesting here. Whats the best opening move, if it can be explained?

Best Regard's,

Bonz

Mr Bonzo:

You might want to ask Mr. 5.0 for his advice on which cheap training video you should view to pick up all the basic flips. As far as I know he has a vast knowledge of bali videos and books. I was able to pick up a copy of mastering the balisong from the bay for a cheap price and it was worth the money but 5.0 has seen them all I think.

Bonzo,

along the lines of best openeing move, it all depends on what position you want to open into.

http://www.balisongxtreme.com has oodles of instructional clips to chek out to find out what you like the best.

although for my favorite opener, I would have to go with Y2k Thumb rollover to motion aerial open in forward grip.

Bonzo, The Balisong Knife by Jeff Imada is a great video that is inundated with balisong information. I got mine on eBay and it came with a cheep trainer which I gave to my neighbor several days before I got my BM-40T.

As Icon has stated Clay's http://www.balisongxtreme.com/ is a great place to get instructional vids. I just checked and it's still down, but keep trying.

Bustard's site is a wealth of balisong flippery. After you get each individual trick wired, this is where you can see how to put them all together.

flippery: noun; the act of flipping; tossing and catching in a rotary fashion.

You sure 5.0 sounds more like a verb or an adj...

Master Clay is the man in my book. He has some awesome free-style videos on his sight!
Those free-style videos on Clay's site aren't a quarter of what he can do :).., and yeah.., he is good!
