Butterfly knife ID

Post by hearandgone »

I hope this is the correct place for this post. I picked up this knife a while back and so far have not been able to identify a maker. "MADE IN GERMANY" is stamped lengthwise on the blade along with a symbol on each end. The front tang is also stamped with the symbol along with "PATENT" in slanted block letters. The reverse tang is stamped "MADE IN GERMANY". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I believe it is made by ERMA from the 1910's/1920's. I have a very similar knife that is stamped PATENT ERMA.

Thanks big_slim. I've been able to find an ERMA on line and it looks very much like my knife. Still, though, I've not found anything with stamps Iike my knife has.
