What Is Your Most Prized Balisong?

Post by CDR_Glock »

Being new to all of this, I have a few Balisongs. My list prized Bali is a knife that I spent a long time actively searching. It is the Benchmade Model 49-05, for me.

If I EVER get lucky to find a Shawn Graecean, it will be up there and probably replace the 49 as my most prized Bali.

What is your most prized Balisong? A Dobruski? A Heroes and Kings? A Terry Guinn?

Came in Friday. A Samson ground stilleto blade with black and burgandy inserts.
N I B. Thats right, it is new in the box.
The butterfly logo is missing the circled R.
Handles are still stiff.
Beatiful knife and a lucky find.

I just got a Jody Sampson Recurve Bowie with Black Mocarta. Thanks, Accurate!

It has replaced the 49-05...I never thought I would say that:

Jody Samson was an artist when it came to grinding blades. Have a few, wish I had more.
Should have bought a bunch when I was a PCC/BM dealer.

I WOULD SAY MY BENCHMADE 42's ARE THE BEST BALISONGS EVER. They dont have the beautiful blade of yours, however it IS a nice blade and the OMG TITANIUM handles ROCK......... not to mention the spring loaded latch and the fact they DONT MAKE THEM ANYMORE. I love my pair of them.......Image
I am new here, I am 42 male.

2 Benchmade TI 42's
1 DKD switchblade
1 Microtech NEMESIS III
1 Microtech Makura
1 Microtech Ultratech
1 Microtech Scarab
I hate SERRATED blades, not sure why i got them, especially 2 of them...

Titanium is my favorite material, too. I used to have 7-9 42s but bought customs after I sold them. I don't have identical knives like I used to do. However, I might try to find an identical spring latch 440C.

Here are my 42s...

42S, Anodized Bevels
42 Black Prototype, #6/10
42, 440C

Well, my 49-05 is about to fly the coop. It's sold my friends.

Just too sharp for my taste.
