The knife and handles for the gun were made for by a Canadian knife maker, Antoine Marcel from Trois-Rivieres (Three-Rivers) here in Montreal. He does great work for a Canuk.

that bali with the black inserts -looks to be marked by benchmade... am i to assume that the jaguar balis are copies of this benchmade, or that benchmade made a bali based on one of the coolest looking butterfly knives produced?

Pacific Cutlery Corporation (the company that eventually became Benchmade) was having balis of the same design produced in Asia and imported into the US in the early eighties. They were part of their International Edition series. I recently had one of the old PCC "Jaguar-looking" balisongs and it was about the exact weight and seemed to be made of the same materials as the modern Asian-made Jaguar I also own. Almost as if they were made by the same company. My point is that these balis of this style were being made long before Benchmade even existed. I would bet that the design originated in Asia.

Here is a link to my for sale thread of the PCC bali I had. If I can remember correctly it had the year 1985 stamped into the blade next to the "International Series" logo...
