If i'm right there are only two diffrent variations of the spring latch.The ones on the milled SS handles and the version on the cast Titanium handles.

The three versions of the spring latch are:
Milled SS Handled bali has a milled spring latch with the holes in the shaft.
Production spring latch is a cast version of the milled spring latch.
Both of these have a flat bottom that rest inside the detent cutout on the side of the handles.
The 42SS has a spring latch where the bottom is domed, that rest in a curved walled detent cutout. The advantage is now you can manually disengaged the latch like the old classic T-latch with a push of the thumb, while still maintaining the auto disengage feature by squeezing the handles. Who ever designed it is a genius...
