Nickel Silver bolsters

Post by daveofthenorth »

Hi guys,

After spending much time fabricating them, my new N/S bolsters are ready to be installed. I just want to know if there is anything that needs to be done to them before putting them on the knife, i.e. heat treating? annealing? or anything like that...

Thanks in advance, Dave

Nope, just use low temperature silver solder, and install.

If they are going on brass liners, common lead solder will work fine. Use the silver-bearing solder for stainless liners.
