Forum Lever Lock kit ???

Post by rapidboy1 »

Hi Guy's
I haven't been posting much recently as I'm in the middle of a pretty big project (non switch blade related unfortunately).
Anyway I was wondering if anyone is interested in a forum Lever Lock kit?
The idea is that if SKM could provide us with kit's ,members can build them and ask for help /advice if they need it.
I built my first MIKOV from a kit at the start of the year and got some great help from the members here.
It was a great way to learn about auto's and was fun.
The kit would be supplied as part's and would need some work to be assembled, and then there's some finishing work required.
Forum members could assemble the basic kit or customise as they want ,adding file work or replacing the scale material depending on their skill level.
The kit would not be like the SKM stiletto kit's that only require a rivet to be put in place ,they would just be parts with no instructions and the idea is that we help each other out.
Chime in and let's see what happens.
Cheers

Hey RB,
I was wondering what happened to you. I think its a great idea as long as it would be distinguishable from other LL by maybe a etching in the blade.

I think it's a great idea!
Lever locks seem to be knives that grow on you. Perhaps the forum is not ready?

I sure as hell like them; a Leverletto kit would be way fun. I may already have one though (see other thread).

Well I'll be damn! I think we can make it a happening. I think its a very good idea and a learning experience for a lot of us at the same time.
Have something on the blade to remember that it is a TB forum blade and the rest of it our own.

Even one of FG fame needs a little strange once in a while.
But once was enough, I'm sending her back to DC.
