tactical stiletto release question

Post by moosebert »

Hello!

I recently purchased a tactical stiletto, and the release mechanism is very tight forcing me to apply pressure to the blade for release, rather than gravity taking it's course.

Is there anything I can do to ease this, as it's not what I'm used to with most of my pick locks?

Regards

Describe the knife a little better; Italian, American, German :?:
If it has the scales screwed on instead of pinned, it's Frank Beltrames "Switch model" In the case try cleaning the recess in the blade that the release pin goes into. Then try different lubes/oils to see if there's an improvement

The real question is in the thread right under this one. I had already moved it yesterday it's called release.

I believe it's one of Franks "Switch" models, done up "Tactical" with black everything. My preference for defense is a fixed blade knife.
