Horn Bug Bite fix

Post by RobbP »

Here is my first attempt at a repair of the damaged scales which I believe were created from the bug that eats the horn scales. I received the knife in this condition and considered the repair to not damage the value of the knife. While I was at it, I cleaned up the scratches near the safety also. I have to work on the color match, otherwise I consider the repair a success.

Thanks, Robb

Looks good 👍. I think a jell type super glue can be use to fill in those big bites.

I used the regular superglue for this repair, along with some dark "horn" dust as a color filler.
