Cracked spring ??

Post by rapidboy1 »

My new toys ,but the Swing Guard appears to have a cracked spring :(
It opens fine but i dont know how long it will last.
When i press on the spring the "crack" does not open any but it looks like a crack rather than a scratch.
Do these springs fail?
Any advice guys?

Nice knifes Rapid, I love the horn leverletto - very cool.
Is that python skin they are on , did a car interior with that once (pre-ban and the snakes were already dead  )
looks like a crack but maybe you could sand it a little and see how deep it is?

right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think
I've forgotten this before.

you might try putting a common pin in the crack to see if it will go in..yes they sometimes fail but are easily replaced,,hope you have good luck with yours they are sweet knives..

I used some 240 grit "wet and dry" to sand it .
Most of the "crack" dissapeared so it's not very deep ,more of a scratch than a crack ,i think it should be fine.
