Any info on Cleveland Cutlery, Germany?

Here is a knife marked Cleveland Cutlery Co. Germany.
Is anyone familiar with that company? An import company, perhaps?

After some searching, I found that the knife closely resembles the Rosco leverlock that was posted on this forum a couple of years ago.

Cleveland Cutlery Co. was an importer.
Your knife was made by Boentgen & Sabin (Bonsa) in Solingen prior to 1958.
Rosco (JM Rose company) was also an importer. Bonsa and others made knives for them, too.

Cool knife by the way.

Yes. I had to make a new spring, as well.
The link below shows the disassembled knife. The top scale was nearly all gone. The rear scale was nearly intact. I couldn’t match the color, so I replaced them both with an acrylic that looks a bit like a light “tortoise shell” celluloid. The completed knife has some obvious “flaws”. But it is much nicer that when I bought it and it operates perfectly! Thanks for asking!

Hi Millern,
You brought it back to life. It looked like it was on life support. What did you use to make the new spring?
Nice work!

Those scales are kinda cool looking.
Where did you get them?

Thanks for the compliments! I made the scales from acrylic piece I bought through eBay. To make the new kick spring, I annealed a section of an old coil spring that happened to have the correct size to fit in the knife. I shaped it to fit into be back-spring cut out. Then I bent it to shape and s length. Then I heat treated it into a spring, replaced it and pinned everything back together and contoured the scales. Like I mentioned, I could have done a better job, but it makes a nice “carrying piece”.
