Union Cut Co. lever lock made by Henckels!

Post by Bill DeShivs »

I had the opportunity to have both a Union Cut Co. (KaBar) lever lock and a Henckels lever lock apart on my bench at the same time.
Unusual to have them both here at the same time.
THE PARTS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE! Literally.
I can't say that all KaBar lever locks were made by Henckels, but I can damn sure say that this one was!

Very interesting. I always wonder where exaclty the leverage point of those old levers is. Because it seems to lean on the scale pins of you press the lever. In that case the scales should get damaged soon or later.

The front scale pins have tubing around them, so damage is (supposedly) minimal.
