Polyester Composite scales

Post by LD57 »

Another Italian-style OTF.
I replaced the faux ivory scales with composite
Polyester scales.
First time working with these; easier than camel bone. 👍
I like natural materials, but the pictures barely do
justice to the colors. Beautiful, I think.
A little more work to do, and have to blacken the screws.
The originals were too short.

👍Nice work and they’re good looking scales! Where did you buy the scale material? Do you plan to paint the screws?

Thanks!
I got the material from a vendor on Etsy.
Yeah, I’ll probably paint the screws black.

You’re welcome I’ve never thought of Etsy for knife scales. Next time I need something different I’ll check Etsy out.
