Can this be repaired?

Post by portlandmike »

Hello Bill, I was given this knife as a gift and the scales are quite lovely but one spring is broken… Can this be repaired?
Thanks,
Mike

Maybe. They are a pain to work on. Sometimes, the end of the spring can be annealed and reattached to the tang. If that doesn't work, a spring has to be located and formed to fit the knife. Disassembly is required. You can get into some serious $$.
