Very nice. Put a safety on the next one.

Hi Nathan,
Looks great!
I regret not putting a safety on a rescale I did years ago. I may take it apart and add the safety.
It can be intimidating to cut the safety slot, but you are definitely talented and skilled to do it.
Congrats on your first build.
John

Beautiful work! Definitely a treasure. It looks like a very robust knife. And it makes a beautiful sound when fired.
Is the knife going to be carried? If not, does it really need a safety? I would think the risk of loss would be too great to carry such a treasure. I've noticed a lot of high-end side-opening switchblades don't have any safeties. Brands and makers like Protech, Microtech, Vallotton, Brend, Dalton, etc. They make some with safeties, but many without.

Benchmade patented the automatic knife safety. Notice that THEIR knives have safeties.
