Looks great. A lot of my early ones have that second backspring pin hole on the liner where I realized I was too close to the egde,

And have you gotten a stamp yet?

I drilled the backspring hole then thought it might need to be further down so i drilled another one just below it. I realized after i made the spring that i could have used the original hole. I haven't got a stamp yet but have a design drawn up. my stamp just says NJ What size would you recommend for the stamp width. I also used jerry sizemores recipe for tempering the spring. he said to temper it at 600 so i tried that and it kick pretty hard.

Recipe, lol.

600 is a good temp but most conventional ovens will only go to 550 which can work but some of the springs will break. At 600 they should not break.

But I always use a torch to do tempering. At first I was worried about getting it right but once I tried it I find it was actually pretty easy. You don't need to worry about measuring the temp as you can just watch the color change to brown then blue and get it right. Be sure it is a blue when you are done, not purple as that is not quite tempered enough.

As for the stamp size, mine is 3/8" long and 1/4" tall. That seems like the standard stamp size for a regular size knife. You will find places will make stamps for around $30 but those are for softer jewelry metals. Be sure you get one that is meant to be used on steel. It should cost around $150-$200. And don't get any devices like the stamping device. Just get the stamp piece and use a hammer.

Thanks. I will order a stamp tomorrow. I got myself one of these paragon kiln recently so heat treating is super easy. I can even heat treat stainless steel.

Its 18 inches inside length. Its pretty awesome. so far I have treated 1095 and 440c stainless. that and the 2x72 grinder i got last year make knife making a lot easier and faster. I am just slow at making knives because i do it for fun not for a living.

Really nice build. I like thick bolster and these look hefty.is this a left handed switchblade or am I reading the pictures backwards on the blade?
