Mr. Bill, I opened up a second Wandy, well it didn't feel right, hence the opening. I should have known there was an issue when the bottom bolster pin was actually a nail/brad. This to me looks like a patch job... Do you see an issue with filing down the build up?

I seriously doubt that the weld will hold up.
Can't hurt to file off the excess and see.

I agree about that weld job... I'll let you know how it turns out.... one thing I love about metal... it is forgiving when it comes to repairs
