This is an OLD subject, but...
Were the old Schrade Walden "Hunter's Pride" any more than automatic pocket knives? What was the "stainless steel" that comprised the blades? Perspiring minds want to know!

The Hunter's Pride was the largest Schrade model, with a folding guard.
To my knowledge, they were not made in stainless steel.

Re: This is an OLD subject, but...
Dave Sause has introduced the idea of an Automatic Picklock Bowie knife and I suggested that the knife is comprised of Allen (hex) screw construction so that the knife can be cleaned after skinning use. Dave wants to incorporate as static quillion (to protect the hands when they become covered in blood) this will be an asset during the rigors of field use.

Not fact,,,, they are seen in bone, marine pearl , imitation jigged black plastic and another I think was called butterscotch or buttermilk, as Bill said (to my knowledge) none were SS.

There’s one in marine pearl (not sure what that is) listed on a popular auction site right now.

Celluloid is plastic. I meant it wasn't real pearl.
