Custom or bull

Post by hogwild »

Mr. Bill; please see the link. I'm curious if this knife is actually one of your quality knives or if it's a fake like those on DHgate. You may not have the info I request. Thanks, Greg

Bill will confirm my suspicion or confirm is genuine. I say it's fake. The channel is too short. The Leverletto's channel nearly reaches the back spring's pin. It looks like a DHG special.

This is not eGay; it's gunbroker. I sent them a complaint with several links for the vendor stating the trademark infringements and selling of Chinese fakes. I have made many gun trades over the last 15 yrs on GB and been pleased. I went there looking at knives after it was mentioned here. What I found is a mass of unscrupulous knives by this vendor. I have not looked the entire site over for the same. I filed the complaint 2 different ways and informed the vendor of the fake issue. I just can't stand dishonest knife traders. Had a gut full over the years even though I have never been burned.

My bad, I like looking through dhgate when I'm board. It must be old stock cause gate has been labeling them microtec lately. Maybe those folks could do a mission on the gate crew.

Help me out here. What's the patent infringement? He doesn't have Bills name on the blade. Bill didn't invent the release mechanism or the style of crossguard. He used a different blade material and you guys pointed out some dimensional differences, i.e. channel length. So the knife he is selling is different. What make his knife a patent infringement?
Did you see the guys feedback. He is not a good person to deal with.

No one said there was patent infringement. There is no patent to infringe.
The knife is a Chinese clone of the Leverletto. He claims it's Italian.

That's sound correct on the patent. Just seemed odd you would message him. You are not the custodian of the internet.

No, but people should not be hoodwinked, either.
Nor should Gunbroker support a seller who is misrepresenting his goods.
I also made a complaint against him with Gunbroker. I don't like dishonest people and will challenge them at every opportunity.
Why would you have a problem with that?

He only indicates he imports them. He doesn't indicate an actual country of origin.

It's no more an indication of its country of origin than Italian Salad Dressing made by Wish Bone Company that I pass in the store isle every time I shop.
