Just about 40 years ago I went to a huge gun/knife show at Market hall in Dallas. I saw this huge display switch. The price was $1500. I couldn't afford it, but had to have my picture taken with it.
At the recent 2014 Parker show, guess what showed up?
The knife has held up well!

Excellent!
Re: 40 years later....
What a marvelous knife The horn is killer. It's great to see how that knife has kept it's appeal. Thanks for sharing that Bill.
Re: 40 years later....
I raised the point as to the amazing horn on the knife and the size of the scales. Bill pointed out that it is actually two pieces separated by a band which if you look closely you can see. Great story!

The knife was made by Venier (Lepre brand) in Maniago.
The knife was recently purchased for many times the original $1500 amount.
