Chisel grind??

I am considering rebuilding an questionable quality bolster release stiletto I recently acquired. I have a edge less Damascus blade that I want to use for the project.
I would like some opinions on the type of edge I was going to put on it. It is a standard half grind bayonet type. I am inclined to put a chisel edge on this blade. What are the pros or cons of doing so? The edge is pretty square already so I can go either way. I was looking for some opinions on the matter before I commit to one or the other.

Any edge you put on a stiletto bayonet blade will be rudimentary. The bayonet blades' grind angle is too steep for proper sharpening. They are designed for sticking.

I completely understand that. It will be primarily an ornate letter opener. My idea was to have opposing edges ( bottom and spine)tapering to the tip. I think/ thought it would make the point considerably sharper than standard? I just got a tinkering bug and wanted to try a few things. Thank you for your reply Bill.
