Make it out of rosewood, that would have a REALLY nice look to it.

It could be built, but it would beat itself to death in short order.

Only two woods here in the lower 48 that could take the beating would be desert ironwood and Osage Orange(hedge/Bois D'Ark)

Tryker if you plan on doing some vampire killing how about an out-the-front wooden stake? That'll teach those blood suckers whose boss 8)

that would actually be really easy. Get a cheap otf, and then cut a piece of wood just like the blade and replace it.
again, Id go with rosewood

Are you saying your basic grape stake won't kill your average VAMPIRE? That's what I keep around for just that purpose.

Now, I have to worry that iff'n I pin a vampire to the earth and thrust my trusty grape stake through his evil heart, he will just smile at me and tear-out my throat, ushering me into the ranks of the undead where I will remain forever and ever... BUMMER!

I like to use silver bullets, silver fragmentation grenades, and also run down urban vampire teenagers with my solid silver pickup truck.
