Stitches out today. Because I am still having nerve pain, surgeon prescribed a steroid dose pack.

Take it easy and let yourself heal, it takes time especially for us older fellers. Bad thing about the pain pills, they block the pain making you think you're good to go when you really aren't. Take it easy, the world ain't gonna end tomorrow! At least I hope not.

Steroids always helped. Before surgery, steroids made me feel normal.
We are a few days after the steroids and I feel pretty good-maybe because of the steroids, maybe because I'm healing up, maybe (probably) both. We'll see in a week or two.

After I had the surgery the doctor told me I would have problems with my back the rest of my life. Seems like it was the third from the bottom disc. True to his words but a man has to know his limitations, the only time I'm comfortable is if I'm laying down, after 15 or so years I'm used to feeling like shit all the time. Just have to be carefull but it is what it is, at 69 years old I'm not going to have to put up with it much longer. Be my luck I'll live to be 100 wasting away in a nursing home with a load in my diaper watching Captain Kangaroo.
