Maybe a little better, but it still hurts. Will see the heavy duty specialist this week.
Thanks for all the well wishes, good thoughts and concern.

Hi Bill, if your back is causing you pain look into PEA, which is short for palmitoylethanolamide.
It's a completely natural compound that works truly fantastic, among others as a painkiller without any side effects and also no known interaction with pharmaceutical medication.

I have been using it for years as a neuroprotectant for my eyes, and i also recommended it a friend of mine who has serious back problems due to several crushed discs (plus a full titanium support structure screwed to his spine).
He was on large doses of fentanyl (morphine) each day for years, and was able to make a complete switch to PEA and he no longer needs any fentanyl.
He is over the moon.

I have found PEA to work best for me if i start the first week with 6 x 400 mg a day, then lower the dose to 4 or 3 x 400 mg each day.
My friend does the same.

This link leads to medical reading material about PEA on Pubmed:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=P ... hanolamide

See what you think of it.

Dr. changed my NSAIDs and I saw a marked improvement.
Got in to see surgeon Friday, and the news was good. Since I am showing improvement, we are going to wait and see what happens.
There are a couple of options if it gets worse, before surgery.
Even if I have to have surgery, it won't be a bad one. 3-4 weeks recovery time. Outpatient.
Still taking it easy, and working on the backlog.

I had lower back surgery and the surgeon told me that I will have problems with my back for the rest of my life. So far he has been correct.

Sounds good Bill. Keep us posted. I have been very lucky with my spinal stenosis over the last few years. I keep a daily exercise routine and walk 10,000+ plus steps a day. Turmeric daily.....

The back is better from the steroid injection. Maybe permanently, probably temporarily.
If it's temporary, I'll have surgery to remove the cyst. It's not your typical back surgery. It's outpatient, and I'll be up and going again in 3-6 weeks.

Good news, guess your luck is better than mine. I will admit I'm better than before the surgery but I still ain't what I used to be but I haven't had the problem before the surgery. I would be walking and bam, like a jolt of electricity ran down my leg and lost control of my right leg for a split second. Not happening anymore but it sure ain't what it used to be. I believe it was the third disk from the bottom and the surgeon told me I'd have problems for the rest of my life. This dude was young and I didn't want to have a needle stuck in my back. If I had it all to do over again I would have tried the shot. He trimmed the disc off and I haven't had the jolt since. Still causes me problems but it's a whole lot better than before but when I was taking the lortabs I felt great. Dopers ruined it for the people that really needs the stuff and doctors around these parts don't want to prescribe them
People were taking them by the handful and overdosing, not the doctors fault people did what they did but they came down on the doctors for the patient stupidity but it is what it is. Always someone out there that ruins it for everyone.
