Snowed in!

Post by J-man »

I've been snowed in today, No WORK :D but lots of shoveling. Anyone else have a snowday today or recently? They don't plow my side of the sidewalk, but it does on the other side so all the snow gets pushed over here so the bank is to times as big as it should be...

It snowed in in this side of the world last week, just 10 centimeters but enough for most sport and music events to be postponed. It doesn't snow so often here, so it's nice when it does.

Only 5" of snow here in Montreal, but bloody cold. Temperatures will hit -20c tonight and -11c for tomorrow during the day. Time fill my flask with some JD.

I feel like a kid again. I'm snowed in again today! its about -30º C (-22º F) theres sheer ice under the snow. And I had to shovel out about 15 cm (5") of snow this morning. All school buses canceled, All schools closed, All offices and Banks closed, I'd be surpised if the guy with the Shotgun under the register at the convience store did stay open. Anyone else snowed in today? Or in the past few weeks? (I have once before same conditions apply).

J-man,

Our weather in North Carolina has been like a roller coaster. Two weeks ago it hit 70 F. Last Thursday it snowed about 3 inches and then the temperature went down to 11 F (very cold for us). Today is is about 62 F, and they are calling for a rain/snow mix on Wednesday!

Vagrant and Canadian members,

Come on, make me feel warm, just how cold has it been? We are freezing in N.C.

Hi Jim:
What would you think of -30 to -40 for overnight temperatures and highs of -25 during the day. This is what we have been enjoying for the last 2 weeks. This cold spell has broken a few records and emptied a few bottles.
