The a**holes I [used to] work for have offerd me a substancial demotion and third shift. If I quit instead, I can take my 401-k and pay off my house and a few other bills and redeposit about 1/2 my 401-k. The only catch is I'll still need a job But with everything else paid off a "Greeter" a WalMart would be enough I stay put for a couple week and get July 4 and one weeks vacation. I'll still have 3 weeks vacation time as a bonus It's a little depressing but this may work out for the best
Al,
Sheeet, Da Man IS busy these days.. Sorry to hear! As I was just unemployed for a day or so, What came up pays better and is closer to home. Like I said the Lord looks over the dim witted. [Me]
Be careful about the 401k depending on your age, Or Da Man could end up with 55% of it in taxes {I did that once seven years ago} He told me to do the ol' Ben Dover maneuver.
My best wishes for the future.

If I get the mortgage paid off , I have more options on the next step. Last time I think I got hit for 20% tax and penalties on the 401- k. We'll see this time
